Hello! My name is Libby and I’m currently interning at Number Nine, whilst also studying for a degree in Fashion Media & Promotion at UCA in Rochester.

I will soon be venturing into my fourth and final year at university, where my deep interest in creative writing and social media, has led me to take on a placement here at Number Nine. I have always been very unsure of where my career path will take me, something that has, and sometimes still does, cause me a lot of anxiety! However, having such an amazing connection to the Number Nine business is definitely helping me to envision the possibilities of my future once I have graduated.

It is amazing to be working for a business which enables me to express myself through some of my interests, whilst helping to promote and better a whole range of different business. I also love being a part of Number Nine’s small team, where everyone is made to feel valued and worthy (definitely something I find to be very rare when being an intern!).

What are your hobbies?

I have always loved being creative, whether that be through writing my own poems or taking time out to come up with and carry out photoshoots. From choosing Fine Art in secondary school, to writing my own blog, to now studying fashion at university, keeping my creative flare alive has always been an important escape for me, alongside my love and passion for horses. I have three of my own which keep me extremely busy on my days off!

What do you do at Number Nine?

I think one of my favourite things about interning here is that every day is different. Every morning I walk through the door I am always intrigued to know which client I will be writing for next, it could be a makeup artist, it could be a builder! Copywriting is the main job I am given which I absolutely love because it means I get to write for most of the day. It is even better when the clients ask you to write blog posts for them, because it means I get to come up with my own subjects to write about which promote their brand. There is often a lot of freedom which makes my job a lot more enjoyable! I have also done a little bit of social media engagement and influencer outreach too, as well as sourcing the latest magazines to help with inspiration of future posts and promotional ideas for some of our clients.

What are you studying at uni?
