Wedding Anniversary
5 tips on how to plan the wedding of your dreams
Planning a wedding is hard, it’s even harder when you have a full-time job, and harder still when you run a full-time business. Last year, despite this I planned a pretty great wedding, though I may be biased. Here are my top tips on how to keep your wedding planning on point whilst keeping up with life’s endless demands.
Know from the start how many guests you want to have at your wedding, and plan everything around this, including your venue. Wedding experts recommend that you should allow 25- 30 square feet per guest. This might sound like a lot but remember you want your guests to be up on the dance floor flapping their arms and kicking their legs.
I found that most vendors would prefer to secure a reservation than not. For this reason, the power is in your hands so don’t be afraid to ask for more! Be it another hour of prosecco or an extra couple of songs to close the night, if you don’t ask, you don’t get.
Organisation is key! Get a wedding planner app on your phone and you will have access to your whole event at your fingertips!
Managing you wedding budget is very hard, especially when there is so much beautiful stuff to buy. Ensure that before you are purchasing extras you have booked and accounted for the crucial components i.e. venue, food, wedding dress.
Remember it is your day, it is super easy to get lost in the demands of friends and family but at the end of the day this wedding is about you and your partner. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t do it just because it will please your great aunt’s twice removed desires.
