  1. Smell
Summer offers a fantastic time to let your sense of smell bring you into the present moment.  Taking a moment to appreciate the nature around you and embrace the smells of summer can be a great way of gaining perspective and can also promote and maintain a healthy nervous system.

  2. Essential Oils
Essential oils are a great way of incorporating smell mindfulness into your daily routine.  Recent evidence has shown that 15 minutes of exposure to essential oils, such as bergamot, can increase feelings of positivity.

  3. Lavender
Pharmacological studies have shown that lavender based essential oils can act on our central nervous systems in two ways.   Not only do they chemically modulate serotonin transporters in the brain, they can also have a beneficial impact on fighting diseases within the nervous system.

  4. Explore your spiritual side
Nurturing a spiritual life can increase the quality of life and decrease stress levels.  Take time for yourself, assess your life and reality from a spiritual perspective.

  5. Green Tea
Green Tea has been proven to play an essential role in the way our cells fight against cancer and inflammation.  Easy to incorporate into your day, be it as a breakfast refreshment or tea time satisfier, green tea is great for adding a boost of energy when necessary, without the intense caffeine high of coffee.

  6. Stretch
Simple stretches and muscle pulses can do wonders on decreasing fatigue and pain.  With many workers sitting at desks all day, lots of people experience work induced back pain. Incorporating micro breaks into your daily routine to stretch can have a great impact on your body and mind.  For tips visit https://www.healthy-magazine.co.uk/office-pilates/
