SUMMER BIRTHDAY IDEAS

Everyone with a summer birthday has fallen short of luck this year. Summer is usually a great time of year to have a birthday as there are so many fun activities to do to celebrate. Although many places are beginning to reopen again, there are still strict procedures still in place which can really suck the fun out of a birthday party.

So, here is a list of fun birthday party ideas that don’t involve reservations:

1. MOVIE PROJECTOR NIGHT

Projectors have become extremely popular in lockdown and I’ve seen many people set up cinemas in their garden. This would be a great idea for a birthday party. On a warm summer evening, you can set up bean bags or pillows on the grass, fairy lights all across the garden and make loads of different cinema-inspired snacks. This idea could be perfect to celebrate with your household or socially distanced with all of your best friends.

2. SUMMER GARDEN TEA PARTY

Everyone loves a tea party. This is a great idea for a birthday party in your garden when the weather is nice. For an even more special day, you could create a theme and buy a bunch of fun decorations and flowers that really tie it all together. The food is the best part of a tea party, am I right? Spend the day before making cakes and little finger sandwiches for your guests. Cocktails would be a great addition to a tea party, and this will really get the party started. Take a look at our blog post on ‘summer tipples’ to get you started. Again, this idea can be easily celebrated at a social distance with all your friends.

3. GLAMPING & CAMPFIRES

If you wanted to do something a bit more exciting glamping is the way to go! Set up your own fort in a big tent with pillows sheets and blankets and even mattresses to make your camping even glamourous. Spend the night relaxing and doing face masks before you all gather around the campfire to roast marshmallows and eat your weight in chocolate and your favourite snacks.

4. PICNIC

First, locate a beautiful and scenic setting for your picnic. the location is key to any great picnic. By a lake, on the beach or even in a pretty countryside field. Then, fill your picnic basket to the brim with all of your favourite picnic foods. But, don’t forget the champagne! Relax and listen to music as the sunsets with all your favourite people.
