WAKE UP NATURALLY
Get into a routine of 8 hours sleep a night, and you will find that slowly you no longer require an alarm to wake you each morning. A study by the National Institute of Industrial Health in Japan found that when humans are forced awake by alarms there's a risk of higher blood pressure and heart rate, and over a long period of time it can lead to chronic stress.
EAT HEALTHILY
Eat healthily 80 per cent of the time. Making sure that each meal contains fresh vegetables, fruit and protein will help you feel energised all day. The 80/20 principle is not a diet but a lifestyle change which can lead to sustainable weight loss. For those who find it near impossible to stick to a rigid, limiting diet, the 80/20 principle preaches balance and moderation.
EXERCISE
Allow yourself dedicated time to exercise, and make it ‘you' time. Generating a great sweat is key for detoxification, and will help toxins leave your system faster.
SET AN INTENTION FOR THE DAY
Each morning, take a moment to breathe deeply and start your day with an intention for what you want to achieve. Connect with your innersole and ask yourself how you are feeling in both body and mind.
SOCIAL MEDIA DETOX
Don’t look at your emails, social media for a few hours before bed and at least 20 minutes after waking up. Instead dedicate the time to meditation, reading a book, watching TV or spending time with family and friends. This is your time to relax.
